[Gwyn Brodie] × Once Upon a Highland Moon (The Highland Moon Series Book 2) [japanese-history PDF] Read Online Ç Can their love thwart an evil heart This well written and delightful tale sweeps one back in time to the Scottish countryside and into the turbulent lives of Sorcha Galen Sorcha is originally betrothed to the despicable Laird, Archibald Campbell, who only wishes to wed her because of her dowry and his need of a male heir After her clever escape, Sorcha encounters Galen MacKinnon, and soon falls passionately in love with him Unfortunately, Archibald Campbell is not a man who easily gives up on what he considers is his rightful merchandise The author weaves an exciting tale and draws the reader into the Scottish countryside and mentality I truly enjoyed reading this action filled novel and was drawn to the lovely Sorcha who was no wimpy maiden for sure If you love historical romantic fiction, this is the book for you Highly Galen and SorchaThis is book 2 of The Highland Moon Series It s always fun for me to read a story with such well developed characters with strong personalities Poor Galen, foot loose and fancy free until Cupid comes out of nowhere and shoots him right through the heart As we all know, when it comes to love, some men think of it as being shackled and fight it to the bitter end I do so enjoy reading of the adventures of gorgeous, muscled, men in kilts I hope Msg Brodie continues this series and tells us of the unexpected adventures of Duncan Conrad When the characters come alive through the reading, they become like old friends I can t wait for the next romantic venture set within the beautiful confines of glorious Scotland.
This was an enjoyable read with mystery, intrigue and no graphic sex Sorcha is staying at the castle of her betrothed, Laird Archibald Campbell She soon sees he is nothing like he was when her brother and she met with him and sealed the betrothal agreement Fleeing from his castle, she comes upon some thieves who are trying to rob her and rape her and is rescued by Galen, a Highland warrior Seeing that she is the sister of Lord Alexander, the laird who is holding his impetuous younger brother Evan hostage for injuring his prize stallion in a forbidden gallop over the fields, Galen decides to hold her hostage to exchange for Evan So the stage is set and the intrigue begins Enjoyable read.
Nice.
.
I liked the players in this book Really like Galen and Sorcha, even though some of their conversations were a little silly I liked Cinead, although I can t stand a name I can t figure out how to pronounce and Duncan but some of the jokes they played were just silly and not falling down laughing with tears in your eyes funny, and I liked her brother Alex It was nice seeing Kade and Jillian again and I wanted Archibald dead ASAP, what a vicious ass he was He eventually got what he deserved but it wasn t soon enough for me.
There was a little sexual tension, on Galen s part, and the sex was nicely written.
I probably won t read the third book in the series, Chasing a Highland Moon I m NOT spending 4.
99 on 192 pages That s insane.
I got this book from from KindleUnlimited.

Beautifully writtenBeautifully written This books takes to each location I could see everything in my mind s eye I can t wait to read the next book The book didn t offer anything new It is like every Highlander themed book It is very repetitive concept and plot Lady Sorcha MacPherson Is Betrothed To Archibald Campbell, The Laird Of Clifftower Castle, Where She Is Staying Until Her Wedding Day Once She Finds Out What A Cruel And Vicious Man The Laird Truly Is, Sorcha S Plans Change She Refuses To Marry Him And Live The Abusive Existence She Knows She Would If She Were To Become His Wife One Night, With The Help Of Campbell S Own Guards, Sorcha, Her Two Guards And Maid Leave To Return Home To Blackstone, Where Her Brother, Alexander, Is Laird The Following Day They Are Attacked By Highwaymen Before Being Rescued By The Handsome, Galen MacKinnon, Heir Apparent To Moorloch Castle Galen Is Quite Taken With The Beautiful Sorcha And She Is Most Appreciative Of His Help Until He Learns Her Identity And Abducts Her To Exchange For His Brother S Freedom, Because Her Brother Is Holding Him Prisoner Campbell Chases After Them Because He Wants Sorcha, And Especially Her Dowry Galen Vows The Cruel Laird Nor Any Other Man But Himself Will Have Her Will Their Love Survive The Deceit, Betrayal And Danger That Greet Them At Every Turn Sorcha and GalenI give it a five star because of the action, suspense and romance It s a fantastic story, an pleased it included Jillian and Kade from Book one I do have one comment, after coupling for the first time and throughout the night, why weren t Jillian and Sorcha sore No ditz bath, they were up and about as if nothing They were virgins Mention of this would have made it realistic.
EntertainingRomance was good And the storyline was entertaining even though the early chapters were quite similar to another book I have read The character development was fairly good Overall, romance and suspense balanced well with humor and history.
A new author for me to follow I really enjoyed this book I hate that I read this one first not realizing it was the second book in the series I m on my way to reading the first one next
